1. General Agreement
By using the boarding and daycare services provided by Beechworth Pet Hotel, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are legally binding and designed to ensure the safety, health, and happiness of all animals in our care.
2. Animal Requirements
- Vaccinations: All pets must have up-to-date vaccinations for kennel cough, distemper, and other required immunisations. Proof of vaccination is required prior to check-in.
- Health: Pets must be free from contagious illnesses, fleas, and ticks. If signs of illness are present, Beechworth Pet Hotel reserves the right to refuse entry.
- Temperament: All pets must be non-aggressive and comfortable in a group setting. Owners must disclose any history of aggression or behavioural issues.
- Age: Puppies and kittens must be at least 16 weeks old and fully vaccinated.
3. Reservations and Cancellations
- Deposits: A non-refundable deposit may be required to confirm your reservation during peek periods.
- Cancellations: May result in forfeiture of the deposit or a cancellation fee.
- No-Show Policy: Failure to show up without prior notice will result in a charge equivalent to 3 days stay.
- Pricing is as Per Callander day. you are charged the daily rate for each day your pet is in our care
- No refunds or credits for early departures or late check ins.
CHRISTMAS AND OTHER HOLIDAY RESERVATIONS:
During the Christmas and holiday period, the following conditions apply:
FOR 2026 Christmas we are closed from Tuesaday 22 December and re open on Sunday 27 December. we will not allow pick up or drop off between these dates.
- A minimum stay of 7 days is required. No bookings under 7 days will be accepted.
- A deposit is required to secure all bookings
- Full payment must be made by December 5th. failure to make this payment will result in cancelation of your booking.
- Deposits are non-refundable, as this is our busiest time of year
Dog play/Interaction and Injury Policy
While Beechworth Pet Hotel takes all reasonable precautions to ensure a safe and supervised environment, we cannot guarantee that incidents between dogs will not occur. By enrolling your dog in our kennel you acknowledge and accept the following:
- Assumed Risk: Dog play can be unpredictable. Minor scratches, nicks, and play bites may occur. Owners accept the inherent risk associated with off-leash group play and interactions.
- Injury Liability: In the event your dog is injured by another dog, the owner of the dog causing the injury will be held financially responsible for any veterinary expenses, provided that negligence or failure to disclose behavioral issues can be demonstrated. Otherwise, Beechworth assumes no financial responsibility for veterinary costs resulting from dog-to-dog incidents.
- Behavioral Responsibility: Owners must disclose any known aggressive behavior, history of biting, or reactivity. Failure to disclose such information may result in immediate dismissal and financial liability for damages.
- Response to Incidents: Our staff is trained to recognize escalating behaviour and intervene early. If an injury occurs:
- The dogs involved will be immediately separated.
- First aid will be administered.
- Owners of all involved dogs will be notified promptly.
- If needed, your dog will be transported to a veterinarian, and any associated costs will be the owner's responsibility.
4. Check-In and Check-Out Policies
- Check-In: Pets can be checked in during designated hours. 10:00am-12pm and 2pm-3pm
- Check-Out: Pets must be picked up by the agreed time.10:00am-12pm and 2pm-4pm Late pick-up after 4:00pm will result in $100.00 fee.
5. Medical Emergencies
- Authorisation for Care: In the event of a medical emergency, Beechworth Pet Hotel will make every effort to contact the owner or the designated emergency contact. If the owner or emergency contact cannot be reached, the kennel is authorised to seek veterinary care at the owner’s expense.
- Medication: Owners must provide clear instructions and written authorisation for any medications to be administered.
6. Personal Belongings
- The kennel is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items such as bedding, toys, or leashes left with your pet.
7. Liability
- Owner Responsibility: Owners agree to be fully responsible for any damage caused by their pet to other animals, staff, or the kennel’s property.
- Kennel Responsibility: While Beechworth Pet Hotel takes every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of all pets, the kennel is not liable for any illness, injury, or unforeseen incidents that occur during the pet’s stay.
- Environmental Risks: Our facility is located in a rural setting, and while we take measures to protect all pets, we are not liable for injuries or incidents resulting from encounters with wildlife, including but not limited to snake bites.
8. Photography and Media
- By boarding your pet with Beechworth Pet Hotel you consent to the use of photographs or videos of your pet for promotional or social media purposes. If you do not consent, please inform the kennel in writing.
9. Payment Terms
- Full payment is required at the time of check-out unless otherwise agreed. Accepted payment methods include cash, credit card, and other approved methods.
10. Denial of Service
- Beechworth Pet Hotel reserves the right to deny service to any pet or owner at its discretion.
11. Agreement Modifications
- Beechworth Pet Hotel reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The most recent version will be available at our facility.
- Beechworth Pet Hotel reserves the right to update the prices at any time. Owners will be notified at check in.
